Tao Tao Evo, Chinese Scooter 10,000 Mile or 16,000 Km Review

This is 10,000 mile review on my Tao Tao Evo scooter. I have owned it since new from November 2017.

Dang, that was a nice setup you had there! I have the exact same scooter, had mine since 2019 and currently have over 3K miles on it. Everything on mine is still stock except for my cdi, coil and hand grips. I didn't have any catastrophic failures (yet) on my Evo 50, but I had to replace 2 lightbulbs and patch my rear tire from debris. In the winter time my throttle cable would freeze up since it gets really cold in my town, so it was not fun when the scooter would be riding itself. Luckily I just injected silicone lubricant and it fixed the issue right up, and I wish I was able to swap to winter tires, but must be a pain to change out the tires though. Also would love to have a big bore kit installed on mine but I'm afraid of losing reliability, trust me, I learned the hard way from my last scooter! Battery kept on draining, kickstart kept on breaking and it was a lot harder to start up, I think it was the fault of my local mechanics not being very knowledgeable when it comes to tuning and upgrading products they sell. But nonetheless, as long as it gets me to and from work I'll live with being slow lol.

Everything wears out ! Even the scoots you pay 4.k for lol . Maybe it's just me, but no way in hell I would pay 4.k for one. That's motorcycle money right there. I sold my old Chinese scooter that had 20.k on the odometer & still ran like top. I bought a 2020 Quantum & plan to due the same with it . Cool review 💯🛵👍

I'm about 5'10 250 and I'm looking to get something on the road slap a plate on it that I can commute and just do a little city travel like market runs and such and I am new to the scooter world having never rode one before
And this came across my feed because it was a little bigger in size I must say they do look amazing! And from what I hear it handles pretty well

Hello, I have the same exact scooter as you, I did the 80cc big bore kit, and I made sure too clock the piston rings, but I'm getting too much pressure build up in the crank case, what would you recommend too fix this, I'm getting oil blow back, I open up the oil dip stick and oil just flows out, any help would be great. Thank you.
