This is the thirty-sixth of my series, Sadler's Honest Book Reviews - in which I examine and discuss a range of books focused on practical philosophy, leadership, personal development, or philosophy as a way of life. These reviews discuss style and structure, key ideas, some of the content, strengths, and any problematic aspects of the works, and include my recommendations for readers.

This review focuses on David Fideler's book Breakfast with Seneca: A Stoic Guide to the Art of Living (W. W. Norton & Company 2022)

Anyone who wants a book reviewed in this series can feel free to send me a copy - contact me directly to get the best address!

My videos are used by students, lifelong learners, other professors, and professionals to learn more about topics, texts, and thinkers in philosophy, religious studies, literature, social-political theory, critical thinking, and communications. These include college and university classes, British A-levels preparation, and Indian civil service (IAS) examination preparation

Thank you. I kept adding then removing this book from my to-read list. Your video convinced me to read it but after I finished with reading Seneca himself.I will keep in mind your remarks especially on the abolition of slavery as I feel it is more due to evolution rather than stoicism but it's only my point of view.
