Prof. Achilles Skordas: The Limits of Racism (Qatar v. UAE)

In the Judgment Qatar v. UAE, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) interpreted the concept of ‘racial discrimination’ in the Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) in a restrictive way, excluding the current citizenship. The judgment is expected to have implications for both human rights law and migration law and policy and is presented by Prof. Achilles Skordas, Senior Research Fellow at Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law.
