£1,000 - Peugeot 207 - Reliable Run Around?

Chatty video. Watch along as I explain a recent purchase in this '07 Peugeot 207 with 95k on the clock. I bought this cheap car for £600 with a few major issues, once fixed I was 1k into the car. I think that's a very good price for a reliable run around which has no problems.

I’m considering a 207 as a first car. I’m taken over by it’s beautiful looks great fuel economy. And decent reliability for the diesels

I bought an 09 3-door Peugeot 207 not too long ago. We sold our campervan and I needed a run around / commuter. Bloody love the thing it's like a little tank. Has a really tight turning circle, excellent for parking. Brakes have recently been done too and they're really impressive! Would definitely recommend as a first car. Mine was a Twingo, but think I prefer this!

Have to agree. I just picked up an '08 270CC manual with the 1.6L petrol engine in Australia for AU$2, 200 (GBP 1, 252) and it barely needs any work at all. The seller got an MOT for me, it's registered until August and apart from a little bit of a paint touchup needed on the electric roof surround at the rear it looks beautiful. Highly underrated cars indeed. As a retiree my needs are few, I just need a reliable car to go shopping in the nearest major town once a month. It will certainly perform that duty happily, with the bonus that I can drop the top on a warm day and enjoy the wind in what's left of my hair. :-)

My Wife's two Peugeot 207s have been reliable, only components that have failed were German made.

I've owned one of these for the last 6 years. It's been very reliable. Yes, I've had to spend some money over the last 6 years, but parts have been extremely cheap and ive most definitely had my money's worth out of it.

Thanks bro I'm thinking of this as my second car. Reason being I mostly take train to university and won't be driving as much as I used to.

Did you find the bite point on your clutch was quite high. When i test drove a 2011 207 the other day and it was high I've also heard the same from other people

My sister bought one of these new in 2010 and still has it, but she’d never had it on motorways till she gave it to her daughters boyfriend to borrow, 45k miles, 1st time on motorway the timing belt snapped

Is it reliable indeed? I'm worried about the engine. I've recently bought a used Peugeot 207, 4/5 doors, petrol, 88hp.
I wonder if the engine is the Prince one, made together with BMW, 'cause some people say there were 207s with entirely French engine. If the engine number starts with KFU, does it mean it's the BMW engine? Also, what about electronics, does it make problems every week?

I Sadly bought the wrong peugot 207 for around 3k with the vti motor. one of the baddest ever made that cost me so much money and nothing could be fixed, so i had to sell the car for about 400 euro's still sad about it 😢
