i would recommend reading the rust book, its the first learning resource on the website, as there are a bunch of aspects to rust that your not going to see, at least not easily, just by looking at rust by example, which is intended to be a reference alongside the book and other resources

edit: i like how you looked forward to the error messages then didnt read the entire error message, resulting in some wierd speculation
