Think of it this way: EMDR targets specific images or memories that represent the disturbance and identifies the beliefs we have about ourselves or the world as a result of that experience. For example, as a grad student juggling jobs and exams, my belief might have been, "I can't handle it," when in reality, that schedule would have been overwhelming for anyone. 📚⏰
Understanding these beliefs and where they come from is key to overcoming anxiety and embracing a healthier mindset. 💪🌱
