Worked, I replaced motor case with the other one, that lets you upgrade the filter to a hepa filter.

Dyson is usually first class with their engineering. This however is a very poor design

I did this and now the indicators are flashing blue and it’s not turning on, does it just need to be charged?

No idea how you can get anything in those tiny cracks to push down on the clips 😕... Had to give up before breaking the whole back.

I don't think they need to dry that long--the direction of air flow is through them going out so by turning on the vacuum any remaining dampness will be blasted dry by the air flow.

I didn't even realise this came off. Only had the v6 dyson 8 years. I'm surprised it still works. 🙈 I had to remove the screw first though.

I've been trying to disassemble the back of my V6 for DAYS, to clean the filter. I happen not to have a guitar plectrum and have failed to find anything strong that will fit into the tiny crack and shift the big clips. I've damaged the plastic housing in the effort and it's a miracle I haven't put my eye out with a screwdriver or knife, or cut myself. All I can think of now is to take the thing to a repair shop - luckily I know a good one. This is ridiculous! I've been a Dyson devotee for a long time, but will be avoiding them in future. There's just too much good competition now.

My back filter come off by twisting it and pulling off but how do I get to the filter it is all enclosed ?

Excellent video..however, I had trouble opening it. I called Dyson helpline. After a thirty min wait the operative set up a video call. She was adamant that the piece with the filter is NOT to be opened by the user. She said its not designed that way. Also Amazon sell a round filter which they say goes in the V6 ...it does not and is wrongly sold. I hope that helps.
