Great video, but something to keep in mind, the KLM was the cityhopper it has no recline, basic seats and less padding. The KLM Cityhooper is used for short flight and it’s a short haul aircraft. On the other hand SAS has the larger plane, used for longer services therefore better seats and padding and other stuff. KLM does offer short haul on larger planes like the 737 which is similar size to the a320 you were on on SAS, the old and the new cabin of KLM in the 737, 700, 800 and the 900 would I say it’s kinda the same as SAS’s seats. The old cabin of KLM 737 is like the SAS cabin on the a320. It would be a little more fair if you did the 737 for KLM, so therefore I would say KLM won. (BTW this is no hate comment I think your great)

I flew SAS from Chicago to Copenhagen, Copenhagen to Helsinki, Helsinki to Stockholm and then Stockholm back to Chicago. I took a vacation to the Nordic countries this past fall. I didn’t have a single problem with them. No delays, no cancellations, friendly staff, good hard product. I really liked them. Never flew KLM though. Austrian is good too. I flew with them in late 2021. On a side note: that’s my review at 11:49.

When Eric mentioned how European airports are better than American airports, I have to agree. I’ve been to Schiphol and it was a very pleasant experience. Staff were very nice and there are great views too. Caught a glimpse of the Emirates A380 there too.

The differences between KLM and SAS is that KLM is a full service airline, while SAS is more of a hybrid between low-cost and full service. It's somewhere in the middle. One plus with SAS is that you can buy youth tickets for a very cheap price, around 50-70 dollars for short haul flights, depending on how long your flight is. My personal favorite is SAS, as it's the airline i've flown my entire life.

I've been flying every 3 months to the USA for work with KLM. At first I went with regular economy class, which was great, good service, good seats, very comfy, skilled pilots, etc. But that was on a bigger airplane than you flew, like the cityhopper. For work I could upgrade to business class, and I can tell you, it's a whole different experience. Great lounch, great facilities and seating, service, etc. on the plane. I can also collect these "Delfts blauwe huisjes" from KLM which you get for flying with business class and after flying for years with KLM, I have an entire collection cabinet full of those pieces.

Good video. although it wasn't entirely fair considering that the E-175 is part of KLM's cityhopper division, Which is more focused on... hopping cities quickly, rather then luxury. the 737s are far more comfortable.

Cool! At 08:02 I can spot the school where I did my internship. By the way, this is not the regular KLM flight, but from its subdivision KLM Cityhopper. The crew tend to be younger, the planes more suited for short hops and the service is more 'efficient'. Perhaps you've encountered our so-called Dutch directness from the crew ;)

I flew KLM intercontinental SEL AMS HAV in 2017 and the experience was similar. Strong and solid service, but there were DELAYS at AMS due to many passengers connecting into my flight were stuck on a hold pattern due to strong tail winds. We ended up waiting 2 hours for the rest of the passengers and additional 30 minutes taxi. The queue of aircarfts was huge, and I enjoyed seeing many airliners from different companies from my window seat. The crew was amazing, the passengers not so much, but the crew made sure to keep all the disorderly passengers on check. Their friendly approach and multi language skills made up for the delay. The return flight was very bumpy, and again, the crew shone through. Great experience with them back to back.

Fun part, KLM-Air France purchased SAS this year.

But there is a small note with KLM. You flew with KLM CityHopper which has different seats on the Embraer aircraft than KLM's Boeing 737 aircraft.

15:26 SAS is a half danish half swedish airline, i cant speak for sweden but its danish culture to give free cofee or tea. In denmark we say “kan jeg byde dig på en kop te/kaffe” even if someone just came by to say hello 🇩🇰👌
