It wasn't unpredictable at all for anyone who has seen him play in Bundesliga or for Japan always knew he is a Warrior. Even look at his Bundesliga stats he was by far the best DM in Bundesliga (Statistically)

His beginning in Liverpool is actually similar to Stuttgart. Back then in 2. League even most Stuttgart fans didnt know about Endos existence, until it was an injury or out of form Karazor was replaced by Endo, who had a beast performance in the derby win against Karlsruhe. We all know what happened afterwards. But Endo also made it possible for Karazor to come back to the team and play them as 2 or 3 midfield system.

Underrated aspect is the fact he is the Japan captain. Liverpool loves just collecting national team captains. He knows these guys are mentally strong and have solid emotional iq.

Endo Really play fantastic & help Liverpool so much in Midfield...No Debryune no Rodri or Rice can beat or tackle him...💪💪

Fun Fact - Klopp has only won league titles with a Japanese player in his team.

I appreciate Endo. He works hard for us and he defends beautifully. He fits better than I thought he would and his finishing surprised the hell outta me.

Here after Man city at Anfield, Endo is unstoppable, not even a fully fit treble winning side could get confident possession for at least the second half, what an instant legend!

Fun Fact - He was a Bundesliga DUEL king for 2 years back to back. And he wrote a book named DUEL

I didn't doubt him. When we bought this guy I told everyone he was THE signing we needed. He has an unbelievable ability to read the game- head and shoulders above everyone else- and he takes the least amount of touches which is why he goes unnoticed. He plays fantastic passes, under pressure to get attacks started and he's so calm throughout.

I knew we were onto a winner but unfortunately with him being Asian, white peoples dismissive attitude towards Asians was visible in his early starts. Glad all this has changed now.

He was colossal in the final.

Any Stuttgart fans would know how valuable Endo was to their team, it is important to sign young rising players for your club but nothing casts shadow on experience.

Endo has shocked a lot of people with how well he has done since his move to Liverpool. With Fabhino gone, it left a massive gap for Liverpool in the CDM position and while they looked very close to signing Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, they missed out on both of those players as they opted to go to Chelsea. A lot of eyebrows were raised as to why Liverpool were signing Endo as a lot of people saw him as a panic buy and were confused on why they signed him, it's clear that Jurgen Klopp and the FSG clearly knew what they were doing as this guy was one of the best defensive midfielder in the Bundesliga while playing on Stuttgart as he had excellent defensive stats and knew what he was bringing to the team. In the cameo and cup games he has gotten he has looked very good and before going off on international break with his country, he had his best run of starts in a Liverpool shirt and he played very well in the absence of Alexis Mac Callister.

In the defensive midfield position, he was solid defensively always winning possession back, great at aerial duels and covering ground and from an attacking perspective, he played some nice crisp passes and he was impressive. So far, he has been excellent for Liverpool and signing him seemed to be the right decision for him as now you got Moises Caicedo who has come nowhere near justifying his 100 million price tag at Chelsea and Romeo Lavia hasn't even kicked a ball this season as it took him until December to make his debut for Chelsea, Liverpool are in the title race top of the premier league, while Chelsea are currently in a midtable position. His recent performances show the true value/importance of having a defensive midfielder in your team someone who's a stopper and protects the back 4 while also contributing going forward. He's not a starting player, he did his role in great fashion filling in for a player and played well and he also helps them close out games when he comes off the bench. With a midfield of Curtis Jones Harvey Elliott Alexis Mac Callister Dominik Szoboszlai Ryan Gravenberch and Thiago Alcantara soon to come back from injury, realistically what's Liverpool's best midfield 3 when everyone is healthy and when he comes back from the Asian Cup as a fully fit team means Jurgen Klopp has some important decisions to make as to who's in his best lineup because Endo provides a lot of balance in the team, he's not a Declan Rice or Rodri type of midfielder, but he does well when the team calls upon him. He has been one of Liverpool's unsung heroes this season they've had a lot of them, Curtis Jones Joe Gomez Diogo Jota Harvey Elliott and now Endo and even if this isn't a long term solution for them in the holding midfield role since I still expect them to buy a number 6, he's a great player to have for squad depth.

Listen Liverpool fan. I have already know he was a real deal when looking for his performance.
This guy is not just a decent tackler but he is also quite good at receive the ball under pressure and move the ball forward.
His awkward touch may fool you but he was very consistent. Looked at the transfer fee I knew Liverpool got a bargain, again.

from having a midfield with an average age of 31 to having one of the youngest and most capable midfields in the prem, what a joy. even looking at endo, he's a smart player, turning out of trouble, etc. combining that with macallister, gravenberch, szoboslai and now curtis and elliot, we all of a sudden have a real technically should midfield like we've never had before.

A G R E E ENDO the warrior!!!!

It's fated he lands here at such a bargain! Fortunately, Caicedo or Lavia didn't end up with us. It's all good and Kloop is very right about Endo!

30 yrs old is fine especially when u see the likes of Fernandinho & Milner who continued to play at the highest level at over 35. Also, speed /pace is the first to go as u age but Endo's game don't heavily rely on it to begin with. I would also assume he takes care of himself properly. And with modern sports science, I hope he can continue to be an asset to the club for 4-5 yrs more instead of just a year or two.
