Whoa! I finally understand why Pez dispensers dispense kinda like flicking a lighter. Incorporating the habit of lighting with the oral fixation, brilliant

You, sir, have just explained something that bewildered me as a child! I asked my grandpa what a mark on his forehead was, and he told me one of his cousins had thrown a PEZ dispenser at him when they were younger. I wondered at the time how one of those could have broken the skin, but it was just one of those minor mysteries I never thought about again until I saw this! Thank you!

The dispenser was originally supposed to look like a lighter.

I’ve got a cousin who’s working with PEZ on a project that could revolutionize the company in dental hygiene. I wish him nothing but success.

Pez is absolutely great and no one can convince me otherwise. Not only are they tasty, but have different flavours and are fun to eat!

As late as the early seventies, Pez dispensers were sold in cigarette vending machines. Dad would buy one for me sometimes!

Blind person here. I love pez dispensers, when I can get them to function. I really wish I still had some of mine so I could get them made out of metal, because they make great freaking fidget toys.

I love pez. A few years back I went to a specialty store that had like 30 different flavors to refill your dispensers with, and I bought a bunch without even having a dispenser. Now I want a classic dispenser

I work nearby the pez factory and I learned this from the museum in Orange Connecticut. They actually have really good candy inside where you can fill up a mini bucket full of pez flavors which include sours ones which are really actually tangy but have flavors that are not as common such as pineapple, green apple and blue razberry. It’s a nice little trip.

I learned this recently and when I did some extra research I learned that you can still totally buy the original style metal ones on their site.

Highly recommend The Pez Outlaw, a 2022 documentary about a guy who went to europe to get pez dispensers from the factory and then sold them to collectors. They had a lot of fun making the movie with their recreations of moments. Its a fave amongst me and my friends

My grandmother still has her grandfathers metal pez despenser from 1938, and still uses it while smoking of all things.

The candy is phenomenal. In my opinion. I love them. I literally buy refills for dispensers, but I have no dispenser to refill it with.

Pea has been a holiday tradition since I was a little one!!! I still buy them for everyone because it’s a way to keep my Mom’s traditions alive in my heart!!!

Have to say we still keep Pez as our son with T1 diabetes likes them to raise a low blood sugar - easy to carry and don't melt or get sticky.

Jacob Moser from Hoopeston Illinois was known as the Pez man. He was born on December 12, 1980. He was my childhood friend and as far back as I can remember, he always had a Pez dispenser in his pocket with Pez in full supply. He offered everyone he met some Pez. He was a classic old soul and gentleman who wore cardigans and a hat. He was a nurse and naturally caring and kind. He died on November 25, 2023. I have been collecting Pez dispensers since he died to hand out to the children in our small town from "The Pez Man" at our local festival parade this year. I hope someone reads this and gets to know my sweet friend, even if only for a moment. He was truly unique and his memory deserves to live on..

My Dad's best friend and business partner was Curt Allina. He was the one who added the various heads to the dispensers. He was the nicest man I have ever known. He a pent WW2 in Concentration Camps, losing all his immediate family. I'm proud t o have k own him.
