What I never understood was how he managed to get so much power with so little talent: the man couldn’t rap his way out of a paper bag (Bad Boys For Life had one of the best beats ever and he ruined it), he couldn’t write, and he wasn’t a “producer” in the way that Kanye, Dre or Pete Rock are, he just introduced talented people to each other then basically did the work of a promoter. How did he get the power to do all this?
