China calls for de-escalation as it abstains from UN vote on 'demanding' Russia to end 'Ukraine war'

The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution that "demands that Russia immediately cease the use of force against Ukraine".

The vote was "overwhelmingly" approved by 141 countries 5 opposing it, and 35 abstaining including China.

Zhang Jun, China's ambassador to the UN voiced its stand at the General Assembly.

Russia's legitimate concerns must be addressed. Ukraine must honor the Minsk agreement they signed in 2014 guaranteeing Donbass region autonomy; and US/NATO must honor their agreement not to expand NATO eastward putting Russia at risk. Until these agreements are honored the fighting continues. If they honor them the fighting stops THAT DAY.

Result- 141/193 is not overwhelming despite US and NATO forcing many member states to support the hegemonic club. This result is not legally binding. Expected all representatives from Asia, Latin America, And Africa to vote against or atleast abstain. Its time to change the global order, though I do not glory war. I like to blame the causes of the conflict and who caused them.
