Last I read, Ken Liu's series actually became a quartet. "Speaking Bones" is #4 and also releasing in 2021 - supposedly the 2nd part of book 3. I can't find where I read the author talking about it, but the same info is on Goodreads.

The Goblin Emperor is a book that really hot the right tones for me, and I reread it every year, so I am definitely interested a another visit to that world.

I'm thinking I'm going to give Ken Liu another try. I think I only managed around 100 pages of Grace of Kings before DNFing it, and even though it wasn't mentioned (only because it's not set in 100% stone), I'm hoping next year will finally see the Thorn of Emberlain

The Black Coast is bound to be good. I've enjoyed Mike Brooks' Dark Run books. They remind me of Firefly.
