I had to go all the way to China to get in my first bar fight...on a Saturday night. LOL. I was 60 and my opponent was in his mid-thirties, a German. He took my leather jacket off the coat rack, put it on, and tried to walk out with it. When he refused to take it off, I lit him up without warning. The next morning at the work site, the Russians I worked with were laughing about it, saying I was part Russian. The Brit I was working with said my new theme song should be this one. LOL. Took three days before I could make a fist again. But, got my jacket back, and had the satisfaction of knowing the German looked like a raccoon for about ten days. I'm not tough and do not look for trouble...but don't allow people to run over me, either. Will never forget it. Love this song.

EJ popped out several songs like this, manifestos of sorts, of the human condition. He was an outlet for pent-up frustrations and had a direct line into the feelings of the working class. He was always honest with them, and they gave him their support. One of his best songs, "Empty Sky' is hardly known to most people yet says a lot. It was nailed as anti-female or something at the time, but I never could figure that out. This song is my favorite, but he has so many good ones it's hard to pick one.
