Shoestring Stunter Maiden Flight

This is the first full tank I've flown with the Shoestring Stunter. I obviously have some tuning to do. I need to slow it down with a bigger prop, fly tamer loops, and get the fuel feed straightened out. But it feels like a solid flyer. This is the first time I've ever flown a large plane. It's different so I have some learning to do, but this is a good kickoff to the 2013 warm weather season.

Nice flight. Those C.G. Shoestrings fly well. I built couple of them when I was a teenager back in the mid / late 80's and the best performing one I had was built extremely light with silk and dope covering and powered with an old Johnson .35. That ran like a scalded dog!

Thank you for showing a close-up of the plane. Nice job, good colors. So many times we only see the plane in the air. I would like a update on how you are doing with the plane. I just bought a set of plans to build this plane with a Fox 35.. thanks for sharing.

Yeah, I'm still learning to get her trimmed. I was trying to fly it like a 1/2A in that maiden. I'm having to break those old habits. Been changing things one at a time. Stay tuned, this weekend I should have some better flights to show off.

Richen it until it 4-Strokes, will lean after take off and during maneuvers giving power when you need it. Works great. nice plane, I have one 3/4 built.
