Modern folk don't have a lot of respect for anything invented before the television. They tend to dismiss out of hand things like steam power without realizing how powerful it truly is, and how many things that we still use it for.

Think of what a diesel tractor would have to be to equal this one! No doubt it could be done, but it would have to be a monster! Even nuclear powered ships actually still run on steam. They just use fission instead of coal or oil to heat the water!
