It still works! I have managed to do it differently without even knowing.. all I did was I modded my ski sword with the plan I had learned for blades on and on to get to very end of the 70/76 to start using this yt method, but I ended completing the challenge by accident and it was there all over again! I think the glitch is in the actual challenge. All Iv done instead of a mod I used the plan I learned and that just refreshed the challenge and gave me the same challenge, the only downside to this is that you use your materials!

Edit: using the method with unlimited mods, now just completes the challenge oh well, that still landed me 400 atoms..

After completing "mod melee weapons" unlocks next challenges - "Mod two handed/one handed". Yeah, you dont consume resourses, but you just doing challenges which is not a big deal and im 100% sure bethesda wont ban for it

If you need to do it with a weapon that doesn’t have the standard option you can just put two mods in your machine and swap them on an off.

I aswell had mine complete after gaining 120 atoms. I didn't even leave the mod screen in the work bench to check the status of the challenge. Just completed it and that was that....

I was doing this with the baseball bat and the barbed mod, it worked like 3-4 times then it completed the "mod 2 handed melee weapons....what did I do wrong?". Just kept modding it barbed and natural.
