1991-92 Series One PRO SET PLATINUM Break!

In today's episode we time warp into the past, to a time before the Prokotaco was born, and we open up an entire box of Series 1 hockey cards from 1991-92! That's right ladies and gentlemen, today's episode features hockey cards that are 25 years old! The box comes with 36 packs x 12 cards and features some of your favourite old school superstars, if you can recognize them, that is!

Did you collect hockey cards back in the 90's?

Collecting in the early 90's was great. I can remember one Saturday morning, when I was in grade 6, I went to a local convenience store, located at Lavington Plaza, in Etobicoke, and I bought 20 packs of the recently released 90-91 Score hockey cards. When I got home I opened up all 20 packs and I absolutely went through the roof when I got the Eric Lindros rookie card. Although, I was a bit upset that I didn't get any Mario Lemieux cards, so the next morning I went back to the same convenience store and I bought 8 more packs. Again, I opened up all 8 packs as soon as I got home, and was thrilled to get 3 Mario Lemieux cards, this time around. I can remember another time in grade 7, right before the start of the 1991-92 hockey season, and I went to a near-by Shoppers Drug Mart, right here in Etobicoke, and I stole, that's right stole, 4 packs of the recently released 1991-92 Upper Deck hockey cards. I went out of my mind when I got 2 of the Eric Lindros cards, where he is pictured with Team Canada, playing at the 1991 Canada Cup. Today, all of those early 90's sets are basically kindling. But, the memories of collecting those cards is virtually priceless. I still have a great deal of my collection from those childhood years.

Another great video. An idea for next time is to flip all the cards backwards when you open the pack and forget the front of the card unless if was an insert or something like that. and what was the name of the song around the 24 minute mark?

I wasn't even thought of when Pro Set had their line of cards. Nice pictures/ Sweet players but that doesn't help that every set Pro Set made was mass produced! I think I have every card in that set except for Bob Probert! Anyways, good video like always!
