BMW F800 GS Adventure 2014 Ownership 4 year review

If your wondering if it's good.... ITS AMAZING.

Owned the bike 4 years. Its been used for travelling along the road rather than off them. Tyres made it a lot smoother and more quiet when I put on the MichelinRoad5 compared to the Mitas+7 that it came with. Was a bit tall so I lowered it with a Touratech HyperPro 50mm kit. Was a bit quiet so I made it louder with a Black Widow silencer with removable baffles and a K&N air filter. Amazing wind and rain cover due to its big barn door screen and aerodynamics.While moving i can ride in rain and not get wet. Never owned a bike before this that was so protective. It earns top marks here. Sits all day long on the road and doesn't get hot and is a real comfortable place to be as the seat is great. More than enough power for me but that's an opinion. Riding modes and rear ESA can be changed while riding. Has Normal, Sport, Rain and Enduro modes on this one.

Will truly miss this bike but I wanted some modern touches so i upgraded. I didnt like the feel of the new one at all F850GS Adventure. It was top heavy and felt cheap to me plus made in China. Also tried a BMW F900XR but it was an absolute back breaker and after 30 minuites i had to stop. Ended up with a Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro made in thailand (i know i know haha). Time will tell if its any good but first 1000 miles have been great on that. Its a far superior road focused bike and suits my needs.

Hi, do you have experience with offroad riding and the lowered suspension? I bought the same bike recently and I’m 178cm, so got the same issue. I’m curious if this lowered suspension affects the handling offroad
