You forgot all the side buttons for the seats, complete with seat heat and AC. Was mesmerized by that car

Back when everything jumped out like a switchblade.

The fuse in the cupholder reminds me of an era that you could repair stuff yourself, and didn't need an uplink to Skynet with 3 digital licenses and factory password to get your radio to work again.

My dad bought a brand new 2003 745Li. It was an amazing car for its time. Swivel headlights. Adaptive cruise control. Heated and cooled seats. Even the back seats were heated. Adaptive dampers. Surround sound that even worked with parking sensors. 6-speed automatic, which wasn’t really a thing at the time. Of course, we had to let it go when the repair bills were coming to $8000-9000 every time something broke.

All used 7 Series BMWs from that time came fully loaded with this one feature called the check engine light

My moms boss had this car. I remember he picked me up one day from school when she was in the hospital, this was somewhere between 2002-2004. I’ll never forget him pulling out that chordless car phone and thinking “this dude is filthy rich”

If only BMW drivers could find where they hide the indicators.

Back in the days when office workers' burnouts and stress were caused by bosses calling and cursing to all workers using an in-car mobile phone while he was parking by the side of the road.

Today: “don’t text and drive!”
2000: *literal phone built into the car*

My grandfather had this gen of 7 series. I absolutely loved to play with all that tech as a kid

I had a 2001 745I with this interior. That dial pad was one of my favorite features, back in the days when people used to call each others rather than texting all the time.

There was a period of time where having a phone in your car was a *status* *symbol* . Now, everyone has one.
