Doesn't all of Half-Life (1 & 2) take place in like a week from Gordon's perspective? Guy goes to work, causes a resonance cascade, sees countless people die, and becomes humanity's symbol of hope against cosmic horrors. And now Eli Vance is dead after he thought he could rest after destroying the citadel and defending white forest.

That's an incredible amount of stress for the poor guy.

Can't wait to see the next installment of "I have PTSD and Depression" the Gordon Freeman saga when he ends up meeting up with Chell who, through sign language explains her horrible adventure through Aperture so that the two of them can just sit in a corner looking at each other while internally screaming.

The amount of powerlessness and guilt of not being able to stop the ending of Half-Life 2 episode 2 is extremely well captured on Gordon’s expression

At this point, Gordon is one of the most broken main protagonist ever, with Isaac Clarke or The bound Isaac being the only ones rivaling with him

It was a big shocker to see Half-Life:Alyx changed the ending of Half-life 2: Episode 2. Seeing the G-Man standing in front of you like you could reach out and touch him was incredible. Seeing Eli alive and now Alyx is missing. Then seeing dog as if he was physically in front of me and handing me the crowbar put a big smile on my face. No idea if they are planning a Half-Life: Gordon or if they will use this altered timeline for a Half-Life 3. (assuming Valve can actually count to 3 for once)

If they ever decide to make a Half Life movie, Komegatze better be working on it. This gives a whole lot more perspective to Gordon. Literally breaks apart how I saw the guy as an unstoppable killing machine

As a childhood half life 2 fan I love this. Valve left the romance aspect of things up to the player's imagination and I think that's pretty cool.

you can see everything in Gordon's eyes: fear, shock, confusion, sadness, realization, pain (emotional and physical). Even if Gordon could talk for sure he wouldn't say anything, he would just stay silent, staring at nothing and processing what the fuck just happened.
