Those ribs are known as the "Country cut" style. Thicker and larger cut ribs. Better flavor for grilling and roasting here in the Southern US.

Yes, here in the South, we prefer Smoked Spare Ribs ... You use a good dry rub on them, beginning the night before, and about 4-6 hours in the pit, being smoked, and you have a wonderful and very flavorful piece of meat that almost melts in your mouth ... Then you may choose, to dip a bite of it into BBQ sauce ... I make my own dry rub with 23 different herbs and spices ... 😯👍🤟💞
