Green Jewel in the Grass: Taipei Tree Frog

The endemic Taipei tree frog is found only in northern Taiwan. They mate in the winter when other frogs are ready to hibernate. They dig holes for their nests and can live on dry land. Though they are called "tree frogs," they spend most of their time in grasslands.
