Trump Slams Violence Against Bangladeshi Hindus, Says "Kamala Ignored Hindus" in Diwali Message

Former US President and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump condemned violence against members of the Hindu community in Bangladesh in his Diwali message. In a post on Truth Social, Trump accused President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris of ignoring Hindus across the world. Trump wrote that his administration "will fight" for the “Freedom” of Hindu Americans and will strengthen the US partnership with India. Trump's Diwali message comes as 5.2 million-strong Indian-American community emerges as a key electorate base in the last leg of the US election. Polls show that while 6 in 10 Indian-Americans are likely to vote for Harris, the US Vice President is likely to get fewer Indian-American votes that Joe Biden did in 2020.
