As an English teacher, I found this video excellent. He does such a good job of explaining the difference and the correct usage of "So/too/very/really". Keep up the great work!

He makes me smile, especially after "wow", he's so emotional (in a good way) 😊

Wow! I'm a tutor at a university, and I work with a lot of international students. I just had this issue come up when helping a student from China with an essay assignment. I told her to use "very" instead of "so" when she said "tuition is so expensive." She asked me why, and I found myself struggling to explain, but I ended up saying that saying something is "SO expensive" just has a bit more oomph and more emotion and should be used in instances where emotion is needed. I ended up explaining it correctly! Awesome lesson!

This lesson was so good! I never realized that "so" is used differently in the United States. #4 is a perfect example. We only say we're too tired if there's a thing that needs to be done, apart from just staying awake. For example, "I need to study, but I'm too tired." If we have nothing to do, we just say "I'm so tired right now!" It's these subtle differences between British and American English that keep me coming back for more! Also, we use "very" and "really" together sometimes, when we're trying to justify a description; for example, "She's really very pretty." We also use "so" and "very" together, to mean "more than very, " but it's only used rarely. For example, in order of prettiness: she's pretty; she's so pretty; she's so very pretty. Great job!

I appreciate the way you illustrate the situations on the board and how clear your explanation is. As to the quantity of doughnuts you eat, relax. They are sooo delicious! And so RU! lol

Very well put together lesson on the differences between these words. They are words that don't take to much work that really push you to the native fluency level. Your whiteboard drawings and pronunciation is really easy to follow along and makes for an engaging video! Thank you for this video Papa!

Some French for those who're learning this beautiful language 😊 🇫🇷
very, really > très, vraiment
Elle est vraiment belle. > she's really beautiful
Elle est vraiment très belle> she really is (very) beautiful.(often said in France 😂 for ex: Achètes cette montre, elle est vraiment très belle)
so/such > tellement
Elle est tellement belle> She's Soo beautiful.
no difference btw such and so in French
They are so expensive >
Ils sont tellement chers.
They are too expensive >
Ils sont trop chers.
