Today's video is a sewing pattern haul of vintage and out of print sewing patterns I received from Trish of @pinkysfarm461 . She was destashing sewing patterns from her pattern collection. I picked up about 20 patterns that include McCalls, Simplicity, Butterick, Vogue, and Kwik Sew patterns. Most are out of print and some are vintage.

I started this sewing journey three years ago (2017). In the last two years I have lost more than 25 pounds through intermittent fasting. I am more determined now to sew clothes that fit well. Clothes that fit my lifestyle and that I know I will wear. I am also challenging my sewing skill this year with a few fun wardrobe pieces and as I go along. If you are a beginner to sewing or returning after a long time, some of the patterns in this video may challenge your skill. Some will gently refresh your sewing skill and make you feel accomplished! I hope that my channel inspires you to join me on this sewing journey.

Brilliant pattern haul thank you ( and thank you Trish!) even if one doesn't have those certain patterns it reminds you to get out your own and look for similar styles and we all love line drawings 😍. Looking forward to seeing what you create from them. X

Wow what a great pattern haul
Isn't it amazing looking at a few of those they are right on trend
The ruffles around sleeves and wide leg pants or the wider crop some lovely Summer dresses
I love the quik sew patterns
i used to sew so many of them
Lots of great options for spring
What a wonderful gift
I am so envious of all you girls going to these sewing expos shows
What a interesting event to be able to go to all about sewing
I live in Northern Saskatchewan Canada and if we have any sewing expos or anything like that it would be in Toronto Ontario or Vancouver BC and it's so expensive to fly in Canada it's not a option for me
I would definitely go if ever there was such a event near
Awesome to go with a group of sewing friends
It would be heaven
Thank you for sharing your patterns
Happy sewing
Can't wait to see something from each one
Take care

I am loving that blouse with the big bow. I even tried to find one on the internet. Can’t wait to see it made up.

Carmen, you got a steal - as one will say. Each pattern is a treasure to me. Happy you got them. Next time I hope I will be able to attend. Is this an annual event? Keep me abreast. I enjoy going to expos. But this virus stopped some of them.

Hi Carmen - nice pattern haul, so fun to see! Did a double take on the Butterick 3157...IIRC I made the dress at one point back in high school home ec (late 1970s). Would've bought the pattern from the book at the time.

You got a great pattern haul, Carmen; lucky! Like you, I gravitate toward pattern that say "Easy". I love Kersten Martensson's designs and get them whenever I see them at yard sales or thrift shops. I hope you'll show us your makes from this pattern stash. Happy Sewing! Eileen

Enjoyed your pattern haul. Your presentation was perfect. I normally do not like background music, but yours was not overbearing, just soft background. Also, your basic information on the patterns was great. I find that many you tubers spend waaaay too much time describing patterns which is a big turn off for me. Jen from Jen’s sewing room does a wonderful job as well….which is how I found you sometime back.

I'm so glad I found your channel. I am no where near where I want to be sewing wise infact the only knowledge I have is from home economics in high-school but I've set a goal this year that I want to sew a dress for myself. So I'm grateful I found you! Subscribing for sure
