Is everyone forgetting the MC fall off from like 2015 to 2019. Its a cycle. It gets popular, everyone plays it. People eventually get bored, it loses relevancy for some time. Then people get nostalgic and play it again, making it popular again and then the cycle continues.

This is the same with most games honestly, but minecraft being mostly sandbox has made all parts of the loop longer and larger.

minecraft has a known loop of going up and falling off, we were in a dark era from 2015-2019 then we had another minecraft era until recently (2023-2024), wait a few years and it will blow up abain. i truly think this game will never die new generations will always find it and experience it for the first time like we did
