And what is going on with bipedal robots at Caltech would make a T-1000 sit up and notice. But nothing, as far as we know, appears to be more realistic than Engineered Arts' new #Robot, Ameca.

Called #Ameca, the #humanoid's face features eyes, cheeks, a mouth, and a forehead that contort and change shape to show emotions going from awe to surprise to happiness. The latest videos of Ameca shows it waking up and seemingly coming to grips with its existence for the first time.

Ameca is obviously highly advanced, but there is still multiple things to get right before they can even get close-ish to how a human is. Even though the designers have done extremely well, there's still quite a way to go before robots match humans when it comes to voice sound, movement speeds and reaction time. I've no doubt that time will come, but it'll likely be years off though, or even a decade+.
