If you use photoshop and index the color palette after resizing it, youwould be able to mess with some dithering options that could smooth out the image and get a better result with how limited the pallette is(as well as remove green from the pallette if yoy dont want it in the image.

Its actully easy to convert images to rubix cube patters. Just scale the image down, give am specific color palette wich consist of the 6 colors and export the image
