I like how Kat was the embodiment of free will in this film. At nearly every turn, she surprised Sator with pushing him off the boat to pulling the gun on him before the car chase. No matter how much he predicted and inverted, he couldn’t predict his estranged wife’s actions based on her anger towards him and love for her son.

Probably my favorite score of the film. The moment I heard it, I loved it.
It was haunting and melancholic. Loved the rising violins.

When Kat first appeared on the screen and I heard this playing I can feel the sense of beauty and trauma in the character. All I wanted to do was protect her. Ludwig Goransson captured that perfectly. I heard Ludwig read the script and started working on the soundtrack before Nolan began shooting. I can definitely tell this score was true to the script.
