QCinema 2017 Awards Night highlights.

VPF successfully stage manages QCinema 2017 Awards Night.

VPF Creative Productions successfully managed the recent awards night of the QCinema International Film Festival 2018, the culminating event of the said festival's fifth year. Hosted by Empoy and Max Collins, the affair was keynoted by Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte and other city councilors who expressed continued support for indie filmmakers by way of sustained and bigger production grants. For this year, the winner of the best picture award was "Balanggiga" a gripping drama based on a historical event that happened in Samar during the Fil-American war in the early part of the 1900s megged by Khavin de la Cruz who also bagged the Pylon trophy for Best Director. In the short film category, the film "Babylon" directed by Keith Deligero won the best picture award. All in all, a total of 18 awards were given during The affair which was held at the ballroom of the posh Novotel within the Araneta Commercial Center.
