Accapella style is what makes this version so emotional! U get lost in the sentiment not in the music! I've heard versions where his voice cracks singing has anybody seen my old friend Bobby which adds a haunting to the tune!

Andy sang that perfectly. I was a teenager in the 60's in the San Francisco Bay 60's most definitely had some devastating moments in to be forgotten.... The Abraham Martin and then sadly Bobby .

Andy Williams, a lifelong Republican, was one of Bobby Kennedy's best friends - he was in the LA Hotel in 69 when RFK got murdered. Sorry - his version of this - which he sang at Bobby's funerals - takes me off at the knees. Unable to listen without crying

A beautiful rendition of the Iconic Dion song.
I only wish Andy's version had Dions guitar in the background, and their were videos and pics from Bobby & Andy throughout the years, ending with Andy singing at Bobby's funeral. 😪
