For $500 sister got married in dance studio which looked like a beautiful ball room with a chandelier and a foyer. It even had a warming kitchen. It wasn't normally used as a wedding venue and that was why it wasn't expensive. My step mom and the groom's mother catered the turkey dinner. She got 2 bottles of wine for every table and there was beer. I think it was a genius idea to throw a wedding there. The wedding was $5000 for 200 guests.

A caution for people looking into venues like parks and fields, or even private homes- workout how much things like catering, hiring tables, chairs, plates, glasses, lighting, generators etc is going to cost and add it on to the ‘cheap price’ of the venue.
I wanted to do a field wedding but after I worked everything out it was the same price as renting out a nearby winery venue that already included catering and furniture and I didn’t have to go through all the stress of organising all those extras that you need in a blank venue that most venues just include.

Hi Jamie! Can you please do a video on the pros/cons of hiring a DJ versus just plugging in your phone and being your own DJ? I know a DJ can be helpful but we're on a tight budget and we think it might be an option to save money

I feel like we are forgetting one major inexpensive venue: churches. Some churches require you to be of the same denomination as the church you’re wanting to get married in, but not always. There’s gorgeous glass chapels, churches with stained glass, old rock churches, etc. I personally got married in my own church, so they didn’t charge anything since I was a member (and luckily for me, my church is a pretty one!) If you’re not religious and getting married in a church is a no-go, I totally understand. I just wanted to point out that they’re a beautiful option and adding a bunch of petals to an aisle is always a nice touch :)

I’m getting married this Saturday. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. Your channel has helped my fiancé and I be more informed when making decisions for our wedding. I can’t thank you enough!

The last wedding I attended was in a train station. The high ceilings were beautiful and there was an authentic vintage feel. Suffice to say, it was stunning!

I would love to see a winter wedding tips video. A lot of these places are meant to be outdoors which isn't easily done in the winter.

I don’t know if anyone has said this yet, but my fiancé and I are doing a cruise wedding! The actual wedding part (ceremony+reception, does not include the actual cruise) is $3, 000 and it includes the ceremony and reception venues, hors d’oeuvres (you can choose 6 different types!), drinks, officiant, bride’s bouquet, groom’s boutonniere, DJ, decor, a wedding planner, day-of coordinators, cake, and even an OPEN BAR. And as an added bonus, they let you be as involved as you want in the planning process! Customize it to your heart’s content or leave it to the pros and enjoy the ride, whatever you decide to do!

Unfortunately I have not seen much information on cruise weddings outside of what carnival told us, so if you know anything or are interested, Jamie, I’d love to see a video on these!

Could you do a video on destination weddings? Do you have any experience or tips? Or youtuber recommendations?

My Fiance and I just booked our date for our wedding in a CASTLE in NY!!! We thought of it as a potential option as a joke originally. Like, "hey lets get married in a castle! :p" but come to find out, they don't have a venue fee at all!!! It actually is our cheapest...I mean, most inexpensive option! All while being a beautiful castle!! It is crazy cool!! So blessed and excited! :)

Love this video! My fiance's brother just got married at a theater company who's stage was in the middle of a hazelnut orchard and it was STUNNING! There's tons of places and organizations that are willing to help you out on that day - don't be afraid to ask!!!

Would you ever do a video on Airbnb weddings?? I think it's an interesting concept and my future husband and I are wanting to do it!

We did 2/3 of these venue options for our small wedding last week! We had our ceremony at Dene Summerhouse in Central Park, then moved to a Peerspace for our reception! It was VERY DIY (we had to go get all of the reception stuff from my parents' hotel room right after the ceremony, bring it to the reception space, then set up in about 30 mins!), but we kept it super simple and friends were super happy to help out! We had friends pick up the food, ice, and cupcakes and meet us at the space. It ended up working out perfectly for us!

Fairgrounds! Some of them can be spendy especially if you are in a bigger, more metropolitan area, but if you're a more rural area they are typically pretty reasonable. And their great if you're going for a more rustic/country theme.

Movie theaters or bowling alleys even skating rinks roller or ice could also be awesome unquie places for a wedding

My venue was $200. It was a state park in Washington state. I had a beautiful wedding for $3000 total. Totally worth it!

Hi Jamie!
Long time lurker, first time commenter, lol
I was wondering if you could make a video about “Rehearsal dinner etiquette” or what to go over during rehearsal time with your venue.
Would also appreciate your opinion on the best way to do/display a seating chart. I’ve been going back and forth with individual table seatings vs a sign posted with general table assignments. What works best for guests?
Thank you for all your do, girl.

My fiancé and I rented out a nature preserve! Absolutely love it for our fall wedding. And guess how much we paid for it?! 3 pavilions with the one section for just our use. $160! Even an air bed and breakfast around here was $2, 000. Saved sooo much money 💵

Yes!!! Venue was the hardest thing for us, but when we used a state park in TN, our venue price was amazing and beautiful but chairs and tables were included in our lodge rental! All for under $500! We got married at Cedars of Lebanon State Park, for anyone in the Nashville/middle TN area looking for a venue!

I found my venue because of this video!!!! Ahhh girl and it's so perfect thank you 😍 we tried your tip about peer space and found a beautiful industrial place very cheap and we can bring in our own catering and alcohol 😍😍 I appreciate all your advice and humor you bring to your channel!
