Designing for sustainability requires system thinking. Often times there is a big gap between "wishful thinking" and "making it happen".

Great learnings by Karel J. Golta in the latest episode.

The devil is the details of infrastructure, systems, processes, and business models. As a designer, to support this regard, by bringing key stakeholders together and facilitating the co-innovation process.

In addition, the cause-root of innovation is by understanding the complexity and seeing if you can make things better. Oftentimes, maybe you can just introduce a small change for the beginning.

In order for the innovation to survive you want to bring in key stakeholders into the process who will carry out the implementation. "Throwing an innovation over the wall" is usually not a street that leads to an actual design that will be implemented.
