Why can't I just soak cracked (very coarsely ground) dark roasted coffee beans in vodka with a vanilla bean and then add sweetener and water after I strain the coffee beans from the vodka? Heating coffee makes it bitter. I drink cold brewed coffee and it seems that if you skip the heating part, the flavor would be less bitter and more coffee. I have cacao to use instead of Cocoa too.
