I love this show so much! Eddie can’t be mad that Katherine vented to Gary about if she should leave. He put her through so much and constantly is his backbone but he bare is hers. She has to be such a great wife in order to make sure things don’t fall apart and she knows she can’t rely on him deep down

For everyone who thinks Katherine should still be with Eddie after all this I have a question. Have you ever loved an addict? A repeat offender addict? Someone who steals and lies? Someone who consumes your world so intensely they steal your air so you could no longer breathe? The tentacles of addiction are long and suffocating to those in the inner circle of the the addict. It’s not just the addict’s life that stops having life but it’s also those around them. Needing to hide things, constantly paranoid of everything the addict says and does. Second guessing everything in sight. Sometimes losing everything is the only way for them to break addiction. Eddie has never actually lost anything through his addiction in the true sense of the word. While those around him lose more and more of their world, their air.

I honestly would not blame Katherine if she left Eddie she gave him a second chance after his drinking and then a third after the affair and now this.

My prediction (and hope) is that Alan will turn out to be a decent guy and the kiss will be all there is to it.

Katherine is going to kiss Allan, who is surprised by that anyway ?! I don't want to feel bad for Eddie, but I still feel bad for him. Not just for that (because he's the one who cheated in the first place and had a baby) but I feel bad for him for all the pain he's been feeling since his accident. I'm a little disappointed with how things are going but at the same time, Katherine deserves to be happy and she won't be able to hurt Eddie as much as he hurt her. If they actually end up divorcing (this time) what will have been the point of S2 and their development as a couple ?!

I am so not looking forward to seeing how Theo handles his mom pulling the same crap his dad did... Poor kid's gonna be wrecked.
On a related note, I want to take this moment to thank all the good parents out there for being good parents.

This is long but bear with me:

I think that Katherine can still support and love Eddie without being married to him. It’s clear that their marriage is over and they need to move on after Katherine’s kiss with Alan. They can co-parent Theo and figure things out in a healthy way. However cheating is not okay either way and this should be the final nail in the coffin.

I also considered the other dynamics of Eddie’s actions as well. Eddie is a white cis het disabled paralyzed man married to Katherine, an Asian-American Korean woman. His pride and need to appear strong to others is affecting other people’s lives too. He took the pain meds a much younger Dakota (an Asian-American woman and his musical protégé) offered him, enabling him to continue using. There is an uncomfortable power dynamic there, with him being essentially her older musical mentor. He then aided in her lie to Katherine to save his marriage, effectively destroying any chance of any reconciliation between Dakota and Katherine. The dynamics of that situation felt like violent & he exercised his white male privilege well it seems. I wish people could extend this same degree of forgiveness shown to Eddie to other POC/WOC in his position as well.

He then took Gina’s (a Black woman and his friend) pain medicine and lied to Rome and Gary about it, which later led to Gina questioning whether Rome was contemplating suicide again. I understand that Rome and Gina are good now but what Eddie did impacted others. Aside from the identities of the parties involved, Eddie just has some deep introspection and personal things he needs to work on. He needs to also network with other disabled people outside of the group in town to heal & explore what living with a disability will mean for him. He needs to take accountability for his actions and dig deep into his soul.

I think the kiss will be a dream. Eddie and Katherine will get through this. Once Eddie gets treatment. But then again is this truly his rock bottom.? I'm so attached to these characters.
