I live near the high school where this tragedy took place and in my opinion the parents were just as guilty. They had even been at the school that morning to discuss Ethan’s disturbing behavior and then allowed him access to weapons anyway is just insane and resulted in the loss of four young innocent lives. I hope they serve each day of those sentences.

Don't see how it's the parents fault unless they know he's planning a school shooting. It sounds like bad parenting to me and malicious prosecutors relying on public opinion and emotions to justify the charges.

Question for y’all gun heads. I live in Minnesota and we have dumb gun laws. My dad owns a Glock and I’ve been confused on if kids ages 16-18 can use the gun for home defense if an intruder threatens a households life when the owner is not present.

This is sad all the way around. I grew up with guns in my house and and I had my own 410 and a 22.at 12 yrs old. TIMES DIFFERENT WE HAD RESPECT.RULES AND PUNISHMENT WHEN RULES WERE BROKEN. Well, to be honest they did enable him. This wasn’t a surprise to anyone. They all knew. His parents bought him the guns for crying out loud. I’m what you would call a “gun freak”. So I think everyone should have them. In safes. Inaccessible to kids. With proper training.
