Funny thing about the Piranha Plant is that as an enemy, it probably has been in every single Mario game plus the spinoffs which is why I believe it was chosen as a fighter

Piranha Plant also the first mob enemy to be a playable character in Smash.

Then technically followed by Zombie and Enderman if you want to count them individually.

Piranha Plant is among my most enjoyed fighters in Ultimate.

He was treated well in the alts department; each one has a solid reference, and he even has both of his colors from the original SMB.

I like that almost every single smash costume has a reason even if it just looks like a slight color change on some characters. Some of them could be better but what we got isn't all that bad.
