If you're using KDE, Kate is pretty decent. It supports LSP (Language Server Protocol) servers which means it supports autocompletion, go to definition, documentation on hover, etc. for any languages that support it in VS Code. It's a native app so it's quite a bit more responsive than VS Code (which is an Electron app)

please dont actually install arbitrary .debs and .rpms from the web, this isnt windows... use flatpak or your package manager
