Great job, great enthusiasm, Chess Nerd! Would you be able to recommend an absolute beginner's chess book? Maybe one I could follow up with Silman's Complete Endgame Course? Thanks!

I bought the polgar book, but it was extra large print so it's 29cm x 21cm (11.4 inch x 8.3 inch) and I don't really think I need the diagrams that big 😅
I like that it start really easy :)

Publishers of old edition chess books should revise the tournament chess moves to reflect the current algebraic notation burned on a CD and enclosed in the book and/or readily downloadable from the internet.

Are you referring to online rating? Or OTB?
I'm 1650 at Lichess currently and I have never read any chess books. I have only analyzed my games and played a lot of online puzzles. Should I follow these recommendations too? Or would they be "weak" at this point? I don't wanna leave any knowledge gaps behind in my improvement

Lazlo Polgar is not a GM. Judit, Susan are GMs but Zsofia is an IM(maybe she is WGM also not sure)

This is for anyone playing online. Your ELO is not genuine online. How could your ELO be accurate when 50-80% of your opponents are cheating.
