Doom Eternal - Strafe Jumping

Cool little glitch I discovered messing around in the ship...

It isn't a glitch, it has to do with the way stairs/slopes read movement. If you set your jump button to your mouse wheel and stand on a slope when you roll it you'll fly strait up into the sky box.

Nice! I was thinking a sure fire way to get hired at iD is to make a strafe jump mod for Doom.

Do you have to dash at certain point when on the stairs or can you do this strafe jump without dashing?
