Exhaust comparisons on my MG ZR 105

Exhaust comparisons on my MG ZR 105.

The first exhaust I fitted on my MG ZR was a Sportex Mild Steel 3 inch round exhaust cat back system. Though the exhaust system is easy to fit, taking it off again required a lot of patience due to the bolts provided had seized up just after a couple of months. The Exhaust gave a nice sport sound at low revs but at higher revs sounded Tinny. Only coming with two years warranty this exhaust is not a lifelong exhaust and most likely require a change shortly after that time. I ended up blowing out the sound baffles due to rust inside the back box.

The next Exhaust I fitted was a SS Toyosport 2.5" big bore downpipe with 2x3 inch round back box. This Exhaust produced a beautiful deep sport sound and look the part with the polished stainless steel finish. It was easy to fit and easy to remove and only required 4 bolts and nuts and exhaust clamp. Coupled with the Toyosport 4-1 decat Manifold produces even better sound and better performance.

I'm really happy with the Toyosport system and for around the same price as the Sportex it's a 'steel' ;)

After watching this video I've decided to get myself the same exhaust and today have managed to fit it it first time.and it sounds really good. one thing is left for me is the manifold to complete it.
