I'm just a humble 1300 who started playing chess in 2021 after watching Queens Gambit. Levy's videos were the first instructional videos I ever watched to teach me about tactics and openings and I in fact bought two courses to help me with my development. His teaching style and humor kept me with him and four years later he's still my go to for chess content. Ive watched Naroditsky and Rosen amongst others but Levy is the man I've entrusted my learning to, not that he knows it. To see him back on the board and playing well is so good to witness, I always thought he had way more talent than he was able to display due to his lacking belief in his very obvious abilities. So, good luck Gotham, I'm loving watching you become a Road Warrior and I hope you get GM

The amount of times ‘coach’ came up in the calculations is so heartwarming 🥺

6/9 is a pretty good score at such a high level. Can yall please stop making memes and mockery for a minute and appreciate someone who is doing so well. It makes me so happy to see the person who has taught millions of people chess, win and achieve things. Much love❤

Man, road to gm has made me smile more than any other series I've watched on YouTube. I'm so happy for Levy and I can't wait to see him become a general manager

20:05 "I spent 33% of my time."

A reference to Levy's course having 33% sale.

I absolutely love the way Levy silences the haters and hypes himself at 30:30. Reminds me of "Who do you think you are, I am!"

My no 1 favorite thing about Levy is his sense of narrative drama. The pauses, the buildup, the way he modulates his voice, the rhetorical contrasts. You can tell he really pays attention to this. I'd so listen to a version of the Iliad narrated by Levy :D

I just started playing chess and have struggled with sports almost my whole life so to see Levy pushing himself constantly both in and out of them gym has truly been an inspiration. If you’re reading this man know you are making the world a better place and keep up the screaming you’re killing the game. ❤️

GM Neiksans is cooking with the streaming commentary, feels like watching a chess anime. Keep the work up both of you

Levy's reaction to the Engine approving of his plan at 22:42-23:04 is so good. At some point he needs to figure out that he's actually good at this.

Seriously: It is absolutely inspiring to see you making such great progress and evolving into the player you want to be!

Hilariously: my YouTube tab shortened the title in the bar: "I beat a grandma...."

I really enjoyed seeing how happy and motivated Levy was at the end. He could use a confidence boost, and it was well-deserved. Congrats Levy!

Something I learned when I broke 2500 online. Everything under 2500, I was always winning on crazy tactics and sacrifices, after 2500 I was always losing on time looking for tactics and sacrifices. In order to keep growing I have to tell myself to just make improving moves. If they are thinking for a long time, they are probably going to avoid any crazy tactics. They are good. So I'll just play defensive. Make improving moves. Keep up in time. Then when they are feeling the pressure I have time to look for mistakes. It was crazy how much different high level chess is. I'm much older than you and got into chess way too late. I'll never be titled or play over the board tournaments. But the little bit of online experience I have gives me so much respect for your journey. You've learned and relearned the game so much already. Committing yourself to relearning it over and over again until you make GM is amazing. Keep up the good work Levy. Even if it takes a few years I'll be cheering you on for as long as it takes. You skinny armed bozo.
