Dimitsana Greece Day Tour | Megalopoli-Lousios-Olympia | ΔΗΜΗΤΣΑΝΑ MSFS DA62

Today we are visiting the central Peloponnese, Greece. Our virtual scenic flight begins at Megalopolis of Arcadia. We climb over the town and fly west over the open-pit coal mine, Alfeios River, Gortyna, Neochori, Isaris, Vasta and the Church of Agia Theodora. Turning north, we pass Mount Tetrazion, the archaeological site of Bassae, Skliros and Andritsaina. Here we turn east and head toward Karytaina passing Mount Lykaion. At Karytaina we turn north and make our way through Lousios Gorge known as the Mount Athos of the Peloponnese with it's many monasteries such as Moni Agiou Ioannou Prodromou, Timiou Prodromou and Philosophou with it's secret school. We continue through the gorge passing the site of ancient Gortys, Paleochori, and Dimitsana. We now turn west toward Elis and pass numerous mountains and villages until we are following the Alfeios River again, which leads us to the site of Ancient Olympia and the International Olympic Academy. At Pyrgos we turn south and descend to land at Epitalio Airport. Kalo taxidi!
