This is the best explaination of sends on fader I heard so far. I didn't know bus, sends, and monitors where the same thing. Sends on fader means you are sending the control of the monitors to the faders. This cleared up my confusion.

Problem:
1) Drummer may have tried to adjust his channels on PA after rehersal was over
2) Came back the next day and none of his drums are coming through front of house.
3) I will need to check the drum DCA group to make sure it is not turned down
4) Need to understand what the routing should look like from lets say drum inputs mic channels 2-6, and how they get routed to output mains 15 & 16 to front of house.
