I saw the course modules and semester contents. It starts with something to do with sports psychology. That is why my niece got attracted to this course. Because she herself is good at that. Another problem with with the curriculum private universities is that they don't have any traditional basis. They make a kind of package that has no direct connection with the domestic job market.

Hey all my juniors. I am currently about to finish my 1st year in Amity University Mumbai. Im doing BA ( hons ) applied psychology
There are a lot of mixed feelings abt this place. Maybe the delhi campus is different...but please keep amity as your last option / ur backup plan. Im talking thru experience.
The faculty is okayish but there are many other clgs where you can get much more better education than amity . Also thre is a mandatory 75% attendance u need to maintain which for me wasnt that hard to do but some people did find it hard .
Also placement opportunities are near to nil when it comes to the package amt from Amity University. If you want to do psychology in mumbai, try other clgs like Sophia's, st Xavier's, TISS, etc . There are many better clgs than this .
All the best💗

This is utter nonsense. The uncertainty or anarchy looming over state sponsored education is the only cause to choose private university ?
In India psychology is a very vague discipline. The text book knowledge is all very fine. But what is its application? Who will seek any benifit from psychologists? I find the moralising and psychologising tendency in anybody completely pointless.
