Mine just came in today! I got the one with the rose-gold tones to the casing. Man… it’s stunning in person. This is my 5th orient and 3rd Bambino. It’s got heft to it that the others don’t and really feels present in your hand/wrist without being a distraction. I’ve got a 7.5” wrist so I don’t mind the larger case size. This thing is verrry pretty.

I really wish there was a display caseback mod for the original I have. I love it, I rarely wear other watches for formal events.

I’ve got the OG Sun and moon, the sapphire makes it a better option I think if you like the look of it . Doesn’t look like it has slimmed down at all so, I don’t think it’s a great idea tbh

On the previous version Tuesday on the weekday subdial was pushed inside, and I did not get myself one because of that. The smooshed X looks much cleaner, than the “offside” Tuesday mark

Sun and moon is a hard complication to put on nicely but they have done it really well here

I just got into watches last year. So far I purchased a Casio Solar Field watch, Timex Expedition, Tissot Chrono XL. Also have a Casio PRO Trek otw. But now I think it's time for my first automatic on a budget. I like the Orient Classic with day, moon and date in blue dial. Watch is $380.00 from their website but comes only with bracelet so it's another $60.00 for a leather strap. Is it worth it, or should I just go for Seiko, Citizen etc... Keep hearing mixed opinions about Orient.

It’s still to big for my taste for dress watches and it doesn’t comes with a Sapphire. I initially want to get one of Bambino but decided to save up and got Orient Star Elegant Classic instead. (I’m a Roman numeral guy so I love it, every single one of my watches have Roman numerals even dive watches except those with bezel).

Hmm…41mm? Kinda getting up there. Also wondering about the height/thickness. But I *do* like almost everything else they did here…exceptionalities for chopping the 10 o'clock Roman numeral for the day subdial, as you pointed out.
