People really need to stop gassing up Homelander like he's some omega level Character. He's a piranha in a show full of goldfish. And even then, the show made it very clear that all it takes is 3 supes jumping him to beat him. And two of them were temporary supes.

It's true. Superman and Doomsday are the same strength and they have fights to the death where they both die of exhaustion and injury, whereas Viltrumites get torn to shreds by a marginally stronger member of their own race

Stan Lee once said it was stupid to compare characters like this, because at the end of the day, when a comic author writes a fight. The winner is not up to power level, it's whoever the author wants to win. Even so, Homelander eats shit before round one ends.

Homelander is a coward, but a survivor. He would immediately recognize he's in danger, would have already identified Superman as a hero, flee behind Superman and get him to fight Omniman, and run into hiding while the other 2 are fighting.

Homelander isn’t even close to Omni-man, he sure as hell wouldn’t be close to Superman power. Superman is gonna pull the “Not impressed” on Homelander and send him straight to the afterlife and Omni-Man would just rip him in half with his bare hands in like .00001 seconds.

Invincible has the splat factor where everyone Is stronger then they are durable so mark is usually weaker then his villains but is still strong enough to hurt them

The problem with superman in these hypotheticals is that there’s too many incarnations of him. The most powerful version of superman can manipulate time and space and can create and destroy universes on a whim, how can omniman beat that.

Homelander probably can’t put up much of a fight against Omni-man. And neither of them come even close to the total absurdity that is Superman.
Like it’s not even close. Superman can just stand there and these two can’t do shit.

Viltrumites impale and decapitate each other with their bare hands. Mark could cave the head in of the second absolute strongest viltrumite. They’re all just a race of glass tanks. Superman vs Thragg would be the only match up that actually carries weight

While I still agree with the outcome, if we're talking comic homelander not underpowered show homelander, he stands way more of a chance. Still looses because he isn't as experienced fighting people on his power level but he does not die in 2 seconds like show homelander would. For comparison: Comic homelander has been able to withstand every nuke ever made, show homelander can get a metal straw jammed in his ear.

I’d give it to Superman. Unlike Omni-Man and Homelander, who are probably just overpowered blunt instruments, Superman has actually had close combat training by the foremost expert and best buddy Batman. Couple that with the fact that he won’t have to hold back like he normally does (check out the JL cartoon where he relished giving Darkseid and beatdown), and you have an individual each one of them couldn’t contend with.
