-----WINDSTAR CRUISES TAHITI CRUISE ON STAR BREEZE------
Windstar Cruises is one of only two cruise lines that sails year-round in Tahiti. While the Wind Spirit sailing yacht typically cruises in Tahiti, the Windstar Cruises Star Breeze, one of the newly transformed Star Plus Class yachts, is also cruising the region for a limited time this year.

Windstar Cruises’ Star Breeze was the first ship in the fleet to undergo the company’s Star Plus Initiative. As part of the ship’s update, Star Breeze was lengthened and received a number of new suites, venues, and improvements.

This newly updated cruise ship is offering select Tahiti cruises before repositioning to Alaska for Summer 2022. So, for this Windstar Cruises review, we hopped aboard the Star Breeze for its Dreams of Tahiti itinerary.

-----WINDSTAR CRUISES TAHITI ITINERARY------
This Windstar Cruises Tahiti cruise itinerary was a 7-day round trip sailing from Papeete, Tahiti. The itinerary visited several ports of call in the Society Islands with no official sea days. It included stops in Moorea, Raiatea, Taha'a, Bora Bora, and Huahine.

The Windstar Cruises Dreams of Tahiti cruise also hosted a number of signature events. These events included a beach day at a private motu while in Taha'a, a Destinations Discovery event with Tahitian dancing and food while in Bora Bora, and the cruise line's signature Deck BBQ featuring a roasted pig and several other upscale menu items.

-----DINING ON WINDSTAR CRUISES STAR BREEZE------
All dining on Windstar Cruises is included in the cruise fare. This includes the main dining room, specialty restaurants, and a few casual dining options.

Amphora is the cruise ship’s main dining room which is open for dinner only. Windstar Cruises has open seating, so you do not need to make reservations. Like other cruise lines, the three course dining room menu does change nightly.

The cruise ship’s buffet, Veranda, is open for breakfast and lunch. Further, the cruise ship’s café is located in the Deck 8 Yacht Club.

Windstar Cruises Star Breeze REVIEW discuss the three alternative dining options. Unfortunately though, the outdoor BBQ venue, the Star Grill, was not open on this cruise due to limited capacity and COVID protocols.

The other two alternative restaurants, Cuadro 44 and Candles, were open for dinner. Cuadro 44 is a Spanish tapas restaurant, while Candles is the line's signature steakhouse. Both venues require reservations.

----- WINDSTAR CRUISES STAR BREEZE REVIEW------
One benefit of small ship cruising is the personal level of service onboard. It didn’t take long for staff members from different departments to recognize us. From the staff in the restaurants and bars, to our stateroom attendant, to the destinations team, and even the officers, this is probably the best service that we have had on a cruise ship in a while.

-----STATEROOM ON WINDSTAR CRUISES STAR BREEZE------
All cabins on Windstar Cruises are suites. We stayed in one of the newly added cabins on deck 6. This Star Balcony Suite was 277 square feet and included a French balcony. It also featured a separate seating area, walk-in closet, and upgraded bathroom.

This all suite ship gives cruisers the space and extra comforts more akin to a hotel room rather than a cruise ship.

We were on the Star Breeze on the Feb 24th sailing, we've sailed everything from Carnival to SeaDream, I have to rate this Windstar cruise as one of the best we have been on. the cabin is comfortable, the service was fantastic, in most cases right up there with Sea Dream, of course much like your cruise we were sailing with limited capacity, there 120 guests on ours, with a full 312 passengers they may struggle to match the high standard we received.

The food ranged from great to outstanding, we requested to be sat with the same waitstaff after the first night in the main dining room, Elvis was great. If there was one weakness, it was breakfast, two menus served on alternating days can get old, however of course you can order eggs/omelettes so there is always that variety.

We did make a mistake when booking this trip, we figured we would be spending the majority of our time in the water or on deck so we went for a ocean view room in the forward part of the original hull, in hindsight we should have gone for the french balcony.

The two days at Bora Bora were great, we went diving with sharks and rays. The night bbq was a highlight, one of those things that will stick with me.

The big question, would we do it again, YES ! I have been lucky enough to spend a portion of my life in the Caribbean, i've watched it get in some ways ruined by the mega ships that bring with them the Diamonds International etc, it was in many ways like stepping back in time.

Thanks for this video, a Tahitian cruise has been on my bucket list for years!! I have booked a French Polynesia + Hawaii, but on the more "budget friendly", Norwegian Spirit. We are booked for the November cruise departing from Papeete. 🤩

Great video! Thanks. From my understanding, USA citizens with USA passports do not need any visas for this cruise. is that correct as far as you know? I'm thinking of going soon ... this June, 2025. Thanks.

Enjoyed your video, My husband and I are booked on the Windspirit in June. We too are from MA. I was concerned that we wouldn’t be able to get to some of the beaches but it looked like Windstar had a few beach days available. Did you do any other tours? Did you go to the market in Papette? Did you chat with anyone that snorkled with the sharks/rays and what was there take on it. Thank you in advance for sharing

When they do the BBQ on board or the dinner on the Motu - are the specialty restaurants open?

I'm going to be on the Star Breeze for 10 days in November to see the Tuamotu Islands and I am struggling with the very long list of excursions. How do I find the short list of "must do" for each stop so I can narrow it down? (I don't dive and not interested in bikes or big hikes but lobe to snorkel and shop)

We are just about to book the dreams of Tahiti cruise (star breeze) for this October. I have been on one oceanic cruise in the Mediterranean pre covid. I’m looking for full relaxation and “luxury” experience. In your opinion- does this statuary the criteria? Are there any healthy eating options?

I am looking into the cruise..in your video it appears to be quite cloudy. you mentioned the seas preventing the use of the water toys. what month did you take this cruise? are the seas calm between islands for people that do get seasick. this is a worry. thank you
