Those animal rights idiots who have complained about it need to GET A SENSE OF HUMOUR!

I love animals (well birds mainly) but I can see the brilliant humour in this. And I love marmite.

I'm also an animal lover and love the work that animal rescuers do but I found this advert hilarious. It's difficult to fathom how someone can have such a lack of a sense of humour that you appear to have! I take it you're the breed of person who writes in to complain about broadcasting scandals you've heard about (but haven't actually seen) to express your outrage?

It isn't mocking abuse, it's using the juxtaposition of the relative insignificance of Marmite being 'neglected' and the relative extreme significance of animal neglect.
If Marmite were unaware of the seriousness of abuse, they'd not have seen the humour in the juxtaposition.
The offended are watching it from the starting point that Marmite don't see the seriousness of abuse and want to mock it, they should watch it with fresh eyes as a satire on the importance of 'neglecting' a jar of Marmite.

On a separate matter though, many may be understandably offended by your description of child abuse.
I'm pretty sure that you don't liken abusing children to any official dictionary definition of the word 'fiddle' but hopefully you see my point that it's easy to get offended if you misinterpret the context and intention.

I dont find it funny at all. Its just boring and not a patch on the previous ads which were always very clever.
